Thinking About This Photograph

This photograph was taken in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

I photographed the side wall of a vegetable juice specialty store called “Aojiru Stand” on “Gasuto-Dori”(Gas light street) in Ginza 1-chome.

This area is well maintained and is lined with fashionable clothing stores and restaurants.

However, I felt a little uncomfortable with the outdoor unit and exhaust hood installed on the wall of this building.

Also noteworthy is this very small door.

I have no idea what this door is for, which is less than 1m high.

The potted plant placed in front of the door is also lacking in vividness.

I was attracted to the scenery that was not suitable for Ginza, so I released the shutter.

Before taking this photo, I imagined the “picture” I wanted to finish.

The brick wall had a dark tone overall, so I thought about finishing the exposure with a dark tone overall to match the outdoor unit.

 The result is as expected.
