Thinking About This Photograph

This photograph was taken in Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

I took a photograph of the fishmonger building on a regular holiday.

However, it is not a fish shop in Tsukiji 4-chome, where the Tsukiji Outer Market is located, but a fish shop in the residential area of Tsukiji 7-chome.

Not only are there stores related to fish sales in the Tsukiji Outer Market, but there is also a factory for rolled omelette and a factory for handling fish in Tsukiji 7-chome.

The eye-catching in this photo is the dull, shiny aluminum door.

The exterior material of this building, which is estimated to be about 50 years old, is a galvanized iron wall.

The galvanized iron walls are weathered as they age, but the aluminum doors are shining without feeling old.

I thought this contrast was interesting, so I released the shutter.

Commercial scale and large bucket are also accents in this photo.

The negative was a little overexposed, but thanks to that, the aluminum door stands out.
