Thinking About This Photograph

This photograph was taken in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

It is an area called “Higashi-Ginza” in Ginza, and it is a little quiet area in contrast to the area of Nishi-Ginza 5-chome to 8-chome, which is the center of downtown Ginza.

However, it is not lonely, and it can be said that it is a calm area in Ginza.

There is a building that seems to be Japanese modern architecture in that area.

The heavy entrance sliding doors, mortar-finished exterior walls, and iron window lattices give it an appearance that is reminiscent of modern Japanese architecture.

I think it was probably built before World War II around 1930.

I released the shutter while imagining such a thing.

Even just taking a photo, this modern Japanese architecture becomes a “picture”.
