Thinking About This Photograph

 This photograph was taken in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

 I photographed the window of a restaurant in the alley of the area called “East Ginza” on the southeast side of “Showa Street”.

 Japanese curtains called “Noren” are generally hung on the front door of a store, but in this restaurant, “Noren” is hung on the windows.

 The history of the Japanese curtain “Noren” has come to be installed for the purpose of sunshade and windshield at the open store entrance.

 The usage of “Noren” in this shop is a little irregular and seems to have a strong design element.

 However, I felt that the idea was wonderful, so I released the shutter of the camera.

 I think I was able to express the texture of the Japanese curtain “Noren”.
