Thinking About This Photograph
This photograph was taken in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
I took a picture of the bicycle parking lot installed on the side wall of the Ginza 8-chome building, which is a more downtown area in the Ginza area.
Three bicycles are parked, two of which are covered.
I presume that one of the two covered bicycles is a motorcycle.
Bicycle parking lots that you can see in Japan are systems that park wheels on rails that face diagonally upward, but this seems to be to make effective use of the road.
I don’t know what kind of bicycle parking system is used in other countries, but this seems not to be very convenient.
This is because motorcycles have different tire sizes and cannot be used.
I could guess that the bicycle on the left with the cover was a motorcycle because the tires weren’t on the rails pointing diagonally upwards.
I took a picture of such a Japanese bicycle parking lot system.
The film negative I took this photograph was pretty thin, which is exactly what I wanted.
I am satisfied with the finish that makes use of the shadow tone.
