Thinking About This Photograph
This photograph was taken in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
This photograph was taken in an alley in the downtown area called “Nishi Ginza” in Ginza, but since this is a back street of the building, there is relatively little traffic.
I was attracted to the outdoor units and water heaters that were cluttered on the back wall of the building at the back of the parking lot, and released the shutter.
I think the reason for this cluttered installation is that after the outdoor unit and water heater were installed, the next building was demolished and turned into a parking lot.
However, in Japan, outdoor units and water heaters are often installed on the walls of buildings facing the main street without worrying about the design.
On the contrary, that may be one of the attractions of Japan …
This photograph was taken with a compact camera, the PENTAX PC35AF, rather than the PENTAX LX, which is taking the “The Other Side of Tokyo Japan” project photograph.
Don’t underestimate the performance of this compact camera.
In this photograph, I set the ISO sensitivity of the camera to ISO64 and took a dim alley, so I think the aperture is F2.8, which is the maximum aperture.
Therefore, the resolution around the photo is not good, but if you narrow down the aperture, you can get the same resolution as a single-lens reflex camera.
In addition, “MQ type self-prepared high-dilution high-definition developer” was used as the developer.
I think the great thing about film photography is that you can fully enjoy it even with such a cheap photography system.
