Thinking About This Photograph

 This photograph was taken at 6-chome, Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

 Tsukiji 6-chome and Tsukiji 7-chome are places where there are many houses and stores that have remained since ancient times.

 There are many places where old houses have been demolished to become condominiums and hotels, but it is an area where you can still enjoy the old townscape.

 The traditional Japanese-style building in this photo looks like a house, but it’s actually a store, and when you open the old wooden sliding door, you’ll see a “tenant recruitment” sticker on it.

 I don’t know what kind of industry tenants are suitable for, but I think that general stores that handle folding fans and chopsticks and old folk house-style coffee shops are suitable.

 I think it’s surprisingly fashionable to rent this building for business.
