Thinking About This Photograph

This photograph was taken from “Daimon-dori” in Nihonbashi-Ningyocho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

It looks like a store, but I don’t know if it’s still in business.

The copper plate exterior material used in a part of the front of the store creates a wonderful tone.

Most of the exterior materials of old Japanese houses are finished with mortar, so after several decades, they will have a good taste.

Since siding exteriors are common in modern homes, it’s a shame that the mortar-like tone doesn’t come out over the years.

I think there is a bad side to keeping it clean all the time.

I think it is natural that “old things look old”.
