Thinking About This Photograph

This photo was taken in May 1993 in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

I took a picture of a couple talking in front of the show window of the “Matsuya Ginza” department store.

The photo shows a Japanese couple, both of whom have a wild look.

The show window of the “Matsuya Ginza” department store is a show window with an umbrella motif for the purpose of selling umbrellas before the rainy season in June.

This photo was taken with a Leica M2 camera and a Summarit 50mm F1.5 lens.

The Summarit 50mm F1.5 lens has poor resolution when the aperture is wide open, but when the aperture is stopped down to F5.6 or higher, it is also suitable for snapshot photography.
