Thinking About This Photograph
This photo was taken at a shrine in the Tohoku region around 1992.
I forgot where the shrine is, but this is a picture of a part-time shrine maiden.
At that time, when I found a cute girl, I called out to take a picture.
The shrine is a building of the Japanese religion “Shinto” and is different from “Buddhism” derived from China.
Since many people come to visit the shrine during the New Year holidays in Japan, the number of shrine maidens is not enough, and it is customary to hire a part-time shrine maiden.
I photographed the young shrine maiden of the cute part-time job.
Taking snapshots with Leica is fun and easy to take!
