Thinking About This Photograph

This photo was taken on April 5, 1993 on the sidewalk in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

I photographed a man who gathered people and demonstrated and sold magic tricks.

It is a magic trick that I often saw at that time, “a doll made of paper starts dancing without tricks”.

The demonstrator’s technique is great, and the dolls dancing in the air make it look like there’s really no trick.

I think the price was about $10.

I bought it and was surprised that it was a very easy trick.

I took a picture of such a demonstration sale.

Looking back, it was a good time.
