Thinking About This Photograph

This photo was taken on April 5, 1993 in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

I took a snapshot of a handsome man and a dull man talking.

I imagine it’s a scene where a handsome man is telling a dull man about a recent popular story.

When I noticed I was shooting, his gaze turned to my camera.

In Japan during the bubble economy, a romance drama called “trendy drama” was popular, and all young men and women were conscious of romance.

 One of them is clothing.

Many young people, both men and women, wore suits and dressed appropriately for going to upscale hotels and restaurants.

Looking back on it now, it’s funny and makes me laugh.
