Thinking About This Photograph<\/h3>\n

\u00a0This photograph was taken at Nihonbashi-Ningyocho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0This is a photograph of the back door of the building, which has no features, but the bicycle is stopped so as to block the door.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Most of the doors in Japan are open to the outside, so if a person opens the door from inside the building, they will hit the bicycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0As a little joke, it is also interesting that it is stopped in the opposite direction to the arrow indicating the direction of the bicycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I took a snapshot of such a landscape casually.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0However, the exposure measurement was done firmly.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I was careful not to overexpose the whitish wall.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The exposure measurement in this photo uses a spot meter, but if you use the center-weighted metering AE built into the camera, even a white object will be overexposed unexpectedly.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0It is common sense that a reflected light meter is “underexposed for white objects and overexposed for black objects”, but I don’t think you should worry too much about it in actual snapshots.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I think overexposed negatives are difficult to remedy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Especially for roll film, the development cannot be changed for each frame, so I try to avoid overexposure.<\/span><\/p>\n
