Thinking About This Photograph<\/h3>\n

\u00a0This photograph was taken near “Horidome Children’s Park” in Nihonbashi-kobunacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The nearest station is Ningyocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0When you think of Nihonbashi, you might think that the place where the bridge “Nihonbashi” hangs is Nihonbashi, but since there are 19 town names bearing “Nihonbashi”, the Nihonbashi area is surprisingly large.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Nihonbashi-Kobunacho, where this photograph was taken, is the area on the west side of Nihonbashi-Horidomecho and Nihonbashi-Ningyocho.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The characteristic of this area is that there are many buildings and condominiums, and there are few private houses with wooden construction.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0What I want to shoot in this area is the back side of the building where the dirt on the wall surface can be expressed as a tone, but the building in this photograph can be said to be a subject that matches the image I draw.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The exhaust from the two square ventilation hoods seems to create a dirty pattern on the wall.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0There is a storeroom at the bottom of the wall, which changes the flow of air, so I draw a different pattern only on it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0And the bike adds an accent to the photograph.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Bicycles are often reflected in my photos, but this is not intentional, and there are so many bicycles in central Tokyo that they are naturally reflected in the frame.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The mortar-finished wall gives the wall a look over time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I think it’s similar to the stone architecture overseas that creates a good atmosphere over the years.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I would like to take more pictures of such Japanese architecture. <\/span><\/p>\n
