Photographing the Store Window of a Luxury Brand Shop in Ginza,Tokyo<\/h3>\n

Before running the “The Other Side of Tokyo Japan<\/a>” photography project, I was devoted to shooting black-and-white film on “Store Window<\/strong>” in the Ginza area.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Since I can get to Ginza in about 20 minutes by transportation from my home, this “Store Window” in Ginza was suitable for my photography.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0In addition, this “Store Window” series was the catalyst for starting “The Other Side of Tokyo Japan<\/a>” photography project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shooting Method Using “Bokeh”<\/h3>\n

\u00a0In this “Store Window” series, I am trying one thing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0That is “Bokeh<\/strong>“.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0“Bokeh” seems to be a word that has become popular overseas recently, but it is a word derived from Japanese that refers to a state where it is out of focus.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0In Japan, it generally means a bad condition, but in terms of photographic art, you can also use that “Bokeh” to create pictorial photographic works.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The store windows of luxury brand shops are stylishly made by designers, so it is not a bad idea to take a straight photograph.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0However, because all the materials used are new, shooting with black-and-white film tends to result in poor “Tone<\/strong>“.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0So I came up with the idea of using a technique called “Double Exposure<\/strong>” as a way to create tones.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shooting Method Using Specific “Bokeh” and “Double Exposure”<\/h4>\n

\u00a0Specifically, the first exposure is taken as usual, the second exposure is out of focus, and the same scenery as the first exposure is taken.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0As a fine technical adjustment, the exposure is set to “2\/3 stop” underexposure during the first exposure, and the exposure is set to “1 and 1\/3 stop” underexposure during the second exposure.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0At the second exposure, set the aperture to the open aperture and intentionally lose focus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Multiple Exposure with “PENTAX LX”<\/h3>\n

\u00a0To perform this multiple exposure, you need to use a camera that can perform multiple exposures.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Fortunately, the “PENTAX LX film SLR camera<\/a>” I use is a camera that can perform multiple exposures.<\/span><\/p>\n
