Thinking About This Photograph

This photograph was taken in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

This is a photograph of the entrance to the residential building of a building that houses a high-class truffle restaurant in the southeastern area of “Showa-dori”(Showa-Street) called “Higashi-Ginza”(East-Ginza).

It looks like a back door, but this building seems to be the entrance to the residential building on the second floor and above.

Inorganic white walls, wooden doors that are likely to be used in prisons, well-ordered exhaust hoods, horizontal and vertical pipes, simple entrance lights, etc. are made of reinforced concrete, but the architecture feels artistic.

I took a picture of the entrance of such a beautiful building.

The subject was white overall, so I was careful not to overexpose it, and set it slightly underexposed to the value measured by the light meter.

I think I was able to express the texture of the outer wall painted in white.
